Practical guide
Turn cleaning scope into recurring service hours
Clean Margin Desk is a scope worksheet. Start with measured or operator-entered area rows, then inspect how visits and travel drive the monthly hour estimate.
Calculate area production time
For each area, square feet are divided by 1,000, multiplied by minutes per 1,000 square feet, and multiplied by monthly visits. Keep restrooms, offices, kitchens, and glass as separate rows when their production assumptions differ.
area labor hours = sqft / 1,000 x minutes per 1,000 sqft / 60 x visits
Add travel once per visit
Travel hours and cash travel cost are entered per visit. The engine adds them across the scope visits so a large recurring account does not hide its access and transit assumptions.
total service hours = area hours + travel hours per visit x visits
Read the illustrative result
The default office rows calculate about 110.81 estimated service hours. The result is driven by the entered square footage, visits, production minutes, and travel; it is not a market benchmark.
